Kent Country Club Junior Travel Team

Kent Country Club features a competitive Interclub Travel Team that competes against other area country clubs.  Matches take place once a week and the season culminates in a team-scored tournament.  Kent hosts the Boys’ Divisions of the Interclub Tournament.

Interclub practices, drills and lessons are part of the Junior Program offerings and take place daily in preparation for matches and the tournament. Lessons focus on fast-paced games and drills, along with learning new techniques and match play.

Junior Lessons

Kent offers a wide range of age and ability-specific groups, starting with age 4 and going all the way up to the more competitive Junior Travel Team. Lessons are offered daily at a competitive cost and a flexible schedule.

The Junior classes feature Prince "Play-n-Stay" nets (similar to Wilson Quick Start) on a 34’ court with transition tennis balls (foam and 75% depressurized) to maximize the development of our young players.  The classes focus on fun, while also learning the essential skills one must possess to play the sport: stroke technique, scoring, movement and repetition in a high energy and fun environment.
